And he brought the meat offering, etc.] Made of fine flour, with oil and frankincense put upon it, (see <030201>Leviticus 2:1) and took a handful thereof, and burnt [it] upon the altar; (see Leviticus 2:2,3) <030202> beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning; the daily morning sacrifice, which was not to be omitted on account of these extraordinary sacrifices, both for the priest and for the people; or “after the burnt sacrifice of the morning”; for no sacrifice was offered up before that: so Jarchi.
