1And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
2Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and the bullock of the sin-offering, and the two rams, and the basket of unleavened bread;
3and assemble thou all the congregation at the door of the tent of meeting.
4And Moses did as Jehovah commanded him; and the congregation was assembled at the door of the tent of meeting.
5And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded to be done.
6And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
7And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the skilfully woven band of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.

“And Moses did as the Lord commanded him, etc.] He convened Aaron and his sons, and the heads of the people, at the door of the tabernacle, and came himself, and brought with him the garments, the oil, and sacrifices, even everything necessary for the consecration: and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation; and this was, according to the Targum of Jonathan, on the twenty third day of the month Adar or February; but it rather seems to be later, some time in the beginning of Nisan or March, and before the passover began, (see <040901>Numbers 9:1-5).”
