Jeremiah 25:23

“Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, etc.] These seem to be places in Edom or Idumea, of whose destruction Jeremiah prophesies in (<244907>Jeremiah 49:7,8,20); or rather in Arabia and Mesopotamia. Jerom reckons them among the Ishmaelites and Saracens, The persons from whom they descended are mentioned in (<012221>Genesis 22:21 25:8,15); and all [that are] in the utmost corners; that is, either of the above countries, or of the whole earth: or “all that had their hair shorn”f519; or the corners of their beards; which Jerom says is applicable to the Saracens.”

“Tema - Tema descended from Ishmael, Gen 25:15, his posterity inhabited in Arabia, Isa 21:13-14, where they are joined with those of Dedan. Buz - Buz was one of the posterity of Nahor, Gen 22:21. These were people mixed with the Saracens or Arabians. Jeremiah 25:25”
