And they shall keep all the instruments of the tabernacle of the congregation, etc.] Take care of them that none be lost or come to any damage, especially while it was moving, and carried from place to place; then the several parts of it, as well as the vessels in it, were committed to their care and charge, the particulars of which see in (<040325>Numbers 3:25,26,31,36,37); and the charge of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle; (see Gill on “<040307>Numbers 3:7”).
