He was a very wicked prince. And Amon begat Josias, or Josiah of Jedidah, the daughter of Adaiah of Boscath, (<122201>2 Kings 22:1). He was a very pious king, and was prophesied of by name some hundreds of years before he was born, (<111302>1 Kings 13:2).
