Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, &c.] Pharaoh was a name common to all the kings of Egypt; the name of this king was Pharaohhophra, (<244430>Jeremiah 44:30), and who, by Herodotusf497, is called Apries: and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt; prophesy of his destruction, and of the destruction of the whole land that is under his dominion.
